ENHOJUST (2021-2022)
“For an antiracist environmental and housing justice” (ENHOJUST) is an activist/militant research, which aims at the following:
- Elaboration of the concept of antiracist environmental and housing justice
- by building connections between:
- inadequate housing,
- toxic environment,
- racism,
- rights and justice;
- to reveal how environmental racism works via constraining people to be housed in toxic areas.
- by building connections between:
- Use our knowledge in order to fight for antiracist environmental justice and to create alliances with ecologist groups from Romania and from abroad.
General objectives:
- To analyze the relationship between inadequate housing and living in a toxic environment from a sociological and legal perspective.
- To clarify the relationship between the right to live in a healthy environment, and the environmental and housing justice.
- To change how public actors (social movements, larger public, public policy- makers) are thinking about and are acting around justice in order to promote an understanding of (right to) housing and healthy environment, or housing justice and environmental justice as interconnected issues.
- To contribute to the creation of national and international alliances for an antiracist environmental and housing justice.
