The project ROMEDIN (Socio-educational services for Roma Inclusion) supports and promotes education for inclusion and social justice: it offers socio-educational services for children and their families from the marginalized communities from the Pata Rat area of Cluj-Napoca, and it develops the network of inclusive schools that could sustain the socio-territorial desegregation of the area.
The project is implemented between 15 September 2014 and 14 March 2016 in the city of Cluj By Foundation Desire, in a partnership with the Association against Violence against Women – Artemis, TRANZIT Foundation, Community Association of Roma from Coastei, Department of Social Work at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj County School Inspectorate, and the Cluj-Napoca City Hall.
The project was launched – LANSAREA_PROIECTULUI_ROMEDIN_(4) – through a series of events including the launching working seminar of the partner organizations, by actions presenting and promoting the project both within marginalized communities and school, and as well as to a larger public. Detailes about the project are available at the website of Foundation Desire (https://www.desire-ro.eu/?cat=16, https://www.desire-ro.eu/?cat=18) and of the Community Association of Roma from Coastei (http://coastei-ro.eu/).
